Starlings (Juvenile)
Some people do not realise how cute the juvenile starlings are, they are of course beautiful adults as well. When I was growing up in the 70s there were many starlings everywhere but over the years they seemed to be fewer in numbers. Of late I have noticed more, hopefully the Starling is making a recovery.

The common starling or European starling (Sturnus vulgaris), also known simply as the starling in the British Isles, is a medium-sized passerine bird in the starling family, Sturnidae. It is about 20 cm (8 in) long and has glossy black plumage with a metallic sheen, which is speckled with white at some times of year.
