  1. This "2 butterflies for the price of 1" is an interesting situation indeed. People struggle with it doing Google image searches and also automated visual identification systems don't always "understand" two wildly different visuals being the same species. Posted 2 years ago
    1. Definitely! When I pulled this butterfly out, I was like 'eh' and almost tossed it because I thought it would be so hard to ID. But, when I peaked at the other side of the wings, I quickly changed my mind, lol. Posted 2 years ago

"Junonia rhadama", the brilliant blue, is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is found on Madagascar, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Réunion, the Comoros, and the Seychelles. The habitat consists of transformed grasslands and Anthropogenic biomeanthropogenic environments.
