Song Sparrow - Melospiza melodia I encountered this bird while I was hiking. It kept coming close to me and was very vocal. At first, I assumed it must have babies nearby. But, as I kept moving away, it kept following me. Each time, coming close. I got quite far from the original location and it was still following me! I felt rude, so I stopped to chat with it.
