
Bombus magnus, common name northern white-tailed bumblebee.
As the name „Magnus“ already signals, this species is the largest Bumblebee here in Europe. The sound when they fly is sonorous and deeper as for example their very similar relatives the Bombus terestris. This one was about 30mm big and I was lucky to catch it a few times on my loggia.
