WF, an absolutely astonishing shot. I appreciate the contrast here of the hut in the upper part of the composition. Now I can actually imagine the actual size of these almost stalagmitelike rock formation.s. Wow. Posted 11 years ago

  These rock formations are about 10 m tall. The house is not so close and part of it remains hidden behind the hill so it looks smaller than it is actually. The formation of stalagmites is a different process due to accumulation of minerals at the same place over time. Here is is the oposite - erosion destroys the rocks and shapes them according to the hardness of their structure. It was a nice sunny summer day so we got the most of it. Posted 11 years ago
