    1. Indeed and they did not seem very afraid from humans. Some people including us were strolling in the same beach and the birds were quite close and not too wary. Posted 2 years ago

The long-billed curlew is a large North American shorebird of the family Scolopacidae. This species was also called "sicklebird" and the "candlestick bird". The species is breeds in central and western North America, migrating southward and coastward for the winter.
