    The creature has a great name attached to it:) Wow, wouldn't like to step on one of these:) I've never seen anything like it. My first impression was that I was looking at a bunch of funny stacked leaves. How wrong I was. Beautiful.

The thorny dragon or thorny devil is an Australian lizard, also known as the mountain devil, the thorny lizard, or the moloch. This is the sole species of genus "Moloch".
