The Mudskipper is a common fish (animal) in the tidal and subtidal zone in Iraq. Its population get affected by the oil pollution leaked from the oil tankers in the Gulf in addition to other habitat-destruction factors.
"Boleophthalmus dussumieri", Dussumier's mudskipper, is a species of mudskipper native to the Indian Ocean where it can be found on mudflats in fresh, brackish and marine waters of Iraq, Pakistan and India as well as probably in Bangladesh.
