Biak Coucal This is one difficult and uncommon species in New Guinea. We hear them frequently but getting a glimpse is another different matter all together. The Biak coucal is a species of cuckoo in the family Cuculidae. It is endemic to West Papua, Indonesia. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
