Willie Wagtail and family These Willie Wagtails built their nest between two bungalows. I guess it is a safe place from any raptors attack although this species is really tough. They will attack any birds that come close to their nest no matter the size. Even dogs are attacked. The willie wagtail, scientific name "Rhipidura leucophrys", is a passerine bird native to Australia, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, the Bismarck Archipelago, and Eastern Indonesia. It is a common and familiar bird throughout much of its range, living in most habitats apart from thick forest.
