Broad-bodied chaser
This photo was taken today at my garden pond. Our whole meadow is dotted with daisies which made a wonderful background to this photo. What a wonderful season. And there is something cool in being able to step out of the kitchen and photograph nature in your underwear :D

"Libellula depressa", the broad-bodied chaser or broad-bodied darter, is one of the most common dragonflies in Europe and central Asia. It is very distinctive with a very broad flattened abdomen, four wing patches and, in the male, the abdomen becomes pruinose blue.
