  1. This Caterpillar was seen on the Murray River in Victoria, Australia. I thought he was rather cute until he lifted his face & a brown slug like critter appeared. I have been unable to identify what caterpillar this is. Posted 11 years ago

      1. Wildflower, you are correct.
        I know this caterpillar and have seen it in Sydney but never in Victoria.
        They can be quite common, as can other Doratifera cupmoths.
        They take a slightly different form as early instars and the one on the image is a late instar.
