  3. We spent half the night searching for these in The Gambia - but no luck! Nice find and shot. Posted 2 years ago
    1. thanks, in fairness if they are in your surroundings it is quite easy....wait for after sunset with a good headlamp, aim up to the trees...you can't miss their big eyes Posted 2 years ago, modified 2 years ago
      1. Well, that was how they sold it to us to get us to join the hike - but despite hours of searching - no bushbabies (although we did see Nightjars and owls, so as a birder, I was happy). Still, I would have loved to see some bushbabies - seeing Tarsiers on Sulawesi was one of my greatest wildlife experiences. Posted 2 years ago
        1. oh I understand, frustration is real... :'( Posted 2 years ago
          1. On the other hand, that is what makes wildlife watching so much fun - you never know what you will see . . . or not. I have missed "guaranteed" sightings of cool wildlife numerous times but also seen things no one (even the guides) expected. That is the thrill. Posted 2 years ago
