  1. Hi Jivko. I'm pretty sure that's a Wood Sandpiper. The stint would have a shorter bill, paler, less strongly patterned upperparts, and no barring on the flanks. Posted 2 years ago
    1. Hi Thibaud, thank you for your update. Yes. you are right, this is Tringa glareola. I really have a habit of checking out my old photos, taken when I started wildlife photography and studying birds and other species. But this particular photo I have missed. Thanks again. Posted 2 years ago

The Wood Sandpiper is a small wader. This Eurasian species is the smallest of the shanks, which are mid-sized long-legged waders of the family Scolopacidae.
