African Elephants (old and young), Zebras and Wildebeests
Recently, my mother-in-law shared a story of how she spotted a wild fox over here in the Netherlands, close to the road. Such a story is received with excitement and awe: you actually saw a wild animal??? Like, in our country?
Imagine the contrast we perceived when visiting the Serengeti. Where there are hundreds of large, wild animals around every corner. So many, that you can't even take a landscape shot without also capturing several animals. It has impressed us deeply.

The African bush elephant is the larger of the two species of African elephant. Both it and the African forest elephant have usually been classified as a single species, known simply as the African elephant, but recent evidence has seen the forest elephant classified as a distinct species . Some authorities still consider the currently available evidence as insufficient for splitting African elephants into two species.
