Spanish festoon (Zerynthia rumina) I know this is not a great photo, since the butterfly is quite far away. Alas, at that time I only had my 105mm lens with me, but I was super excited to encounter this beauty so I had to at least snap a picture with what I had. The Spanish Festoon, "Zerynthia rumina", is a butterfly belonging to the family Papilionidae. It is a widespread species in Spain and frequents most habitats.
