Astragalus kahiricus is a perennial plant of the Fabaceae family. it grows in the desert sands. plant is hairy, the leaves are pinnate, about 25cm long. leaflets are wide, almost round. Corolla is yellow, it blooms between January and April. after pollination, the calyx swells to a red ball, which holds the seeds.
