Its mushroom season here in OZ and the saffron milk caps are not in abundance in the pine forests in the Blue Mountains at present despite the La Nina weather season we have had over the last 2 years. The experts are suggesting that they will be in abundance in another 3 to 4 weeks!

Lactarius deliciosus is one of the best known members of the large milk-cap genus "Lactarius" in the order Russulales. It is found in Europe and has been accidentally introduced to other countries under conifers and can be found growing in pine plantations.
