Into the herd Not a great photo at all, but sharing it anyway just to give a view of things on the ground. Here we're traveling north, and the more north you go, the more dense the herds of Wildebeests become. It's interesting how they behave around cars. Being quite dumb, they will never take a step back, instead they very often decide to cross the road running at the very last moment. The blue wildebeest is a large antelope and one of the two species of wildebeest. It is placed in the genus "Connochaetes" and family Bovidae and has a close taxonomic relationship with the black wildebeest. The blue wildebeest is known to have five subspecies. This broad-shouldered antelope has a muscular, front-heavy appearance, with a distinctive robust muzzle.
