White-tipped Sicklebill
These birds inhabit a grove of heliconias at Tapir Valley, but I've never had much luck with them until last week. This bird zipped in, nectared, and then spent a leisurely 1/10 of a second posing for me before zipping back into the forest.

The white-tipped sicklebill is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in Costa Rica and Panama of Central America, and Colombia, Ecuador, and far northern Peru. There is also a single recent record from Mérida in Venezuela.
