Cinereous vulture - Aegypius monachus

After many years of hard efforts to reintroduce this species we expect to have the first breeding pair in Bulgaria this year.

The Cinereous Vulture

The Cinereous Vulture is a large raptorial bird that is distributrved through much of Eurasia. It is a member of the family Accipitridae, which also includes many other diurnal raptors such as kites, buzzards and harriers. It is one of the two largest old world vultures.
