The giant grasshopper is the largest of the short horned (antennae) grasshoppers here in Australia, with adults growing up to 90mm in length. <br />
<br />
Adults are creamy brown to grey, but their colouration and markings can be extremely variable, hence the species name of irregularis. Adults can be distinguished by the black-tipped orange to red spines on the hind leg tibia. <br />

The giant grasshopper is the largest of the short horned (antennae) grasshoppers here in Australia, with adults growing up to 90mm in length.
