Tufted ducks - Aythya fuligula These beautiful ducks - about 20 - were in a mixed flock of about 70 birds - together with Common pochards - Aythya ferina. I watched them for almost 30 min and they slept with their heads tucked under the wing the whole time. Finally, they woke up and I was able to get them in the picture so their heads were visible.
