Eastern/Southern tree hyrax, North Serengeti
These little mammals can be quite busy and entertaining, and generally pretty approachable. Notice how this one is tipping its nose with its tongue.
As a small species fact: some wildlife books, like the one I have, may simply refer to this mammal as the Tree Hyrax. There are 2 species of them though, an Eastern and a Western. Confusingly enough, the Eastern is sometimes also called the Southern Tree Hyrax.

The eastern tree dassie, eastern tree hyrax, southern tree dassie, or southern tree hyrax is a species of mammal in the family Procaviidae. It is found in Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, moist savanna, and rocky areas.
