![Carrion crow (Corvus corone) Nature in my “backyard” - I live close to the river Isar that flows through Munich, where I went for a walk today.<br />

Crows like this one abound and are a very common sight. This one caught my interest, since it had found a little Polaroid-type photo among the gravel and was pecking away at it.<br />

[EDIT 2024-05-01] I had originally (wrongly) identified this bird as Corvus frugilegus. After re-checking the photo today, I corrected it to Corvus corone. The Carrion Crow is a member of the passerine order of birds and the crow family which is native to western Europe and eastern Asia.
