Streak-crowned Antvireo These are tricky ones. They're not exactly rare, but they really love the dark, wet, primary forests of northern Costa Rica. The female is much easier, as she seems to be much less shy. Today I finally I got a nice view of the male. The streak-crowned antvireo is a species of bird in the family Thamnophilidae. It is found in Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
