Taken on a recent trip to the Yellowstone area with a few friends. It is about an 8 hour drive from where we are currently living! It was amazing to see it in the dead of winter! Posted 11 years ago

  Yes it is steam. It is from a thermal vent along the banks of the river, that's how the Firehole River got it's name! Posted 11 years ago
