
Female Reverdin's blue (Plebejus argyrognomon)
This butterfly of the Lycaenidae family is mostly found in South-Eastern Europe and prefers dry, flowery meadows. In central Europe, they are quite rare. The small Kaiserstuhl region in South-Western Germany with its warm, almost Mediterranean microclimate, provides an ideal habitat.

"Plebejus argyrognomon", common name Reverdin's blue is a butterfly of the family Lycaenidae. The species is named after Jacques-Louis Reverdin.
