  1. Because the legs can be dark blue - they are also sometimes called "Blue Jeans Frog" by the locals - at least according to our guide. Posted one month ago
    1. Yes, indeed, I remember that we also saw some "Blue Jeans" variants, but in a different spot. It was in the garden of a road-side restaurant, even, but the exact location is no longer present in my memory. Posted one month ago

The strawberry poison-dart frog is a species of small poison dart frog found in Central America. It is common throughout its range, which extends from eastern central Nicaragua through Costa Rica and northwestern Panama. The species is often found in humid lowlands and premontane forest, but large populations are also found in disturbed areas such as plantations.
