
The rusty-breasted antpitta is a species of bird in the family Grallariidae. It is found in the Andes of Colombia and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and heavily degraded former forest.

I saw it 4 times in 3 days. First in a patch of bamboo right by the entrance to the lake, where a burst of playback almost immediately brought a bird into view right in front of me, where it sang long enough for me to even get video! (This bamboo was significantly more open than the typically impenetrable Chusquea thickets often favored by this genus).
And to cap it off, this was on my last day at the lake, where this individual just popped up in front of me while I was walking down the trail, and posed for a nice photo session! A lovely, lovely bird.
