  2. Not sure this is a bogong. Consider Agrotis munda for example which has more similar markings. Also, in January when you saw this specimen, bogongs would be in the alpine regions of Victoria in a state of aestivation, not in SA. Posted 9 days ago

"Agrotis munda", the brown cutworm or pink cutworm, is a noctuid moth. It is endemic to Australia. It is present in New Zealand.
