Ichneumon Wasp 'Gelis areator' I wasn&#039;t expecting to see much in the garden on a bright but chilly January day and that was pretty much the case. <br />

Perhaps that&#039;s why I noticed this tiny ant-mimic Gelis wasp moving around by the side of my pond?<br />
<br />
Fortunately, it&#039;s one of the relatively few Gelis wasps just about identifiable from a photograph that shows certain identifying markers.<br />
