Lanternfly - Pyrops oculata I hadn't intended to share this photo and only took it in case I wasn't able to spread the lanternfly because it was really brittle. But, it's 6 months later and I still haven't attempted to spread it yet, so I'm sharing the photo now in case I never get around to it. ;P
*Pinned specimen; native to southeast Asia
It's very pretty with spread wings:
1. True. I probably have more and some might already be spread. Posted 2 years ago

        1. I can't promise they won't be gnarly, though. ;P Posted 2 years ago
          1. I had similar problems with my lanternfly specimens. Strongly discoloured, eyes in very poor shape, the white powder (mold?). Posted 2 years ago
            1. Yes! They are all very gross. The white powder isn't mold, though...It's something normal for lanternflies. I don't know why or what it's called, though, which really annoys me. I've looked it up, but can't find any info. Posted 2 years ago
