I love this ground squirrel, fascinating to watch, they are pumped with pure energy, always doing something running around, this one is eating a kind of small wild squash (if someone knows the name I would be grateful).
The Cape ground squirrel is found in most of the drier parts of southern Africa from South Africa, through to Botswana, and into Namibia, including Etosha National Park.
The Cape ground squirrel is found in most of the drier parts of southern Africa from South Africa, through to Botswana, and into Namibia. The name "Cape" ground squirrel is somewhat misleading as it actually has a much wider area of habitation.
