Yellow-staining Milkcap - Lactarius vinaceorufescens

The cap was convex with an inrolled margin. Color was pinkish tan. The gills oozed latex, which was initially white, but turned yellow within a few seconds on exposure to air.

"Lactarius vinaceorufescens" is a poisonous species of fungus in the family Russulaceae. It produces mushrooms with pinkish-cinnamon caps up to 12 cm wide held by pinkish-white stems up to 7 cm long.
