    I've rarely stayed in a place with as many parrots as Puerto Nariño! These were some of the largest around, and were often quite conspicuous in the early mornings. I was slowly getting closer to the tree where five of these were perched when this pair spotted me, and engaged in these funny stretches as they tried to get a better look at me through the branches. The Festive Amazon

The Festive Amazon, also known as the Festive Parrot, is a species of parrot in the Psittacidae family. It is found in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela. It is associated with forest and woodland growing near major rivers. Locally it is also found in coastal mangroves.
