Not a wren; not a tit. It's a Wrentit! Such fun (but shy) birds. They live along the west coast of the US but have only been reported once on the north side of the Colombia River. Like Amazon birds, they don't like to fly long distances.

The wrentit is a small bird that lives in chaparral, oak woodlands, and bushland on the western coast of North America. It is the only species in the genus "Chamaea".
