Perfect camouflage..
There is a small colony of long eared owls in the city centre of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. There is a park, surrounded by apartment buildings and a kindergarten with lots of trees. Owls are there, but hardly anyone knows about it. Easy to see why - this owl shows how well they blend into the environment...
The long-eared owl is a medium-sized species of owl with an extensive breeding range. The species breeds in many areas through Europe and the Palearctic, as well as in North America. This species is a part of the larger grouping of owls known as typical owls, of the family Strigidae, which contains most extant species of owl.
