Cocha antshrike - female, Caquetá, Colombia A rare antbird with a tiny and remote distribution. It is mostly known from eastern Ecuador yet has been seen a few times across the border in Colombia. We found them in a very dark stretch of mangrove, so photos are not ideal.<br />

The cocha antshrike is a species of bird in the family Thamnophilidae. It is endemic to Ecuador. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical swamps. It is threatened by habitat loss.
