A highly sought after bird among serious birders that comes to Borneo. This one is a male.
A photographer friend was at this same location a week before me and failed to see this bird for 3 days in a row, despite being guided by a very experience bird guide. Fortunately, he extended his stay to join me for a macro trip, but we also tried to do some birding during the day, and for 3 days in a row, we saw this bird including a female :D

Whitehead's trogon is a species of bird in the family Trogonidae. It is endemic to the island of Borneo, where it is an uncommon resident in primary mountain forest. One of Borneo's largest trogons at 29 to 33 cm long, it is sexually dimorphic.
