Endemic to Western ghats. This species is still unconcerned to get a reasearch attention such as habitat, breeding behavior ,host plant etc. This species occurence is rarely known from citizen science databases and research literature.
I got this identified earlier by an expert by name, Dr. Poorani Janakiraman, who is currently a Principal scientist at NRC for Banana, Trichy, Tamilnadu, India. According to her, this species is strictly endemic to The Nilgiri hills, Western ghats from where this picture was photographed. However if you have any comments please go on, so that I can get a clear picture on this lesser known nomen.

To be clear, I wasn't questioning the ID to be valid, it's just hard to find any information on that name. Posted 2 years ago
