European Red Fox - Vulpes vulpes crucigera
Today is day two in Poland's Warta River Mouth National Park. This is a place that should be visited several times for a minimum of 3-4 days in different seasons of the year. A beautifully maintained park on the border with Germany, just a hundred kilometers from Berlin.
It's a distant shot, I couldn't get any closer. I could have done a larger crop, but I really like the structure of the straw rolls, at the base of which the fox was curled up and taking autumn sunbaths.

The red fox is the largest of the true foxes, as well as being the most geographically spread member of the Carnivora, being distributed across the entire northern hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to North Africa, Central America and the steppes of Asia.
