  1. I thought for sure that was going to be a species intro, well done Ferdy!
    By far the commonest foliage gleaner in the lowlands and foothills of Peru, it is frustratingly hard to see well, let alone to photograph!
    But I struck gold with this individual who, after a bit of playback, decided to perch right by the path and defend his territory for several minutes. I even got some good videos!

The buff-throated foliage-gleaner (Automolus ochrolaemus) is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family. It is found in Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.
