
The buff-throated foliage-gleaner (Automolus ochrolaemus) is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family. It is found in Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.

By far the commonest foliage gleaner in the lowlands and foothills of Peru, it is frustratingly hard to see well, let alone to photograph!
But I struck gold with this individual who, after a bit of playback, decided to perch right by the path and defend his territory for several minutes. I even got some good videos! Posted 2 years ago
