Bleeding Rosette - Abortiporus biennis? *Tentative ID<br />

It looked like a mass of pores and was VERY tough. I had accidentally left my knife in the car and tried, unsuccessfully, to cut it open with my hands and a stick. It bruised brown when handled.<br />
