Rhododendron Hybrid-Triumph de Grande Spring has arrived and the Rhododendrons are in bloom everywhere.There are many Rhododendrons planted throughout the Blue Mountains in gardens and there is a big festival as they grow well here because of the cooler climate.<br />
Interestingly, Australia has only 2 native species Rhododendron lochiae and viriosum  and they are only found in Wet Tropics World Heritage areas above 950m and difficult to access.They grow in beautiful red bell clusters. ''Rhododendron grande'' is a rhododendron species with a native range from eastern Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan into central Arunachal Pradesh and southern Tibet. It grows at altitudes of 2100–3200 meters and reaches 6–15 meters in height in mixed forests. Flowers vary from cream to yellow to pink, spotted with a blotch on the top petal.
