Crimson rosella urban abstract
Almost every day this past couple of months, this pair visit my gardens delighting with song and colour and I get to observe their behaviours such as feeding. They have taken to using my neighbour's balcony as a favoured perch before flying down again.
Around 25 cm length including tail

The crimson rosella is a parrot native to eastern and south eastern Australia which has been introduced to New Zealand and Norfolk Island. It is commonly found in, but not restricted to, mountain forests and gardens. The species as it now stands has subsumed two former separate species, the yellow rosella and the Adelaide rosella.
