    Not the greatest photos, but I was really pleased to snag these three hummers, all of them fairly skulking lowland species, with very few sightings in the region. Plus, I snapped them all on the grounds of my hotel, which has a lovely garden planted with many Heliconias! Posted 2 years ago

The Pale-tailed Barbthroat

The pale-tailed barbthroat is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found throughout much of the Amazon Basin from the eastern Andean foothills to the Atlantic Ocean.
