Copsychus saularis - Female 29-Dec-2013, Morning I just wokeup and was still in bed, I heard the voice of some bird, I grabbed my camera and rushed to the terrace, a robin magpie was sitting on the broken branch of the tree, first i approached slow towards it not leaving a clue that I'm capturing it. Then slowly I pointed my camera lens, I could take 3-4 snaps, when it noticed me, it flew to the nearby tree, this was a good closeup shot, but due to poor light, it didnt get more clear than this. The Oriental Magpie-Robin is a small passerine bird that was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family Turdidae, but now considered an Old World flycatcher. They are distinctive black and white birds with a long tail that is held upright as they forage on the ground or perch conspicuously.
