    1. Yes I am having a lot of fun. It is my first time to Florida and I am just astounded by the abundance of invertebrates species I find . I have a full 2 weeks here and will be busy every day going for walks in the nearby nature reserve. Lucky I don’t mind the heat and don’t worry about humidity. Posted 2 years ago

The variable dancer is a damselfly of the family Coenagrionidae. It is native to North America, where it is widespread throughout the east and present in the interior western United States.

The male of the subspecies ''A. f. violacea'' is purple with a blue tip.
