  1. That's where my search ended up too. Weird, but iNat does have a couple records of it in VIC and TAS. They could be misidentified, but feel free to add that ID if you want. It can always be changed, if necessary. Posted 2 years ago, modified 2 years ago

''Ganoderma applanatum'' is a bracket fungus with a cosmopolitan distribution. The spore bodies are up to 30–40 centimetres across, hard, woody-textured, and inedible; they are white at first but soon turn dark red-brown.
